DNA Is Everywhere: DNA Fingerprinting I oil on canvas 50 X 75 IN. Hunter Cole, Ph.D. 1999 |
|
DNA fingerprinting is a technique used to identify the DNA of an individual. DNA fingerprinting can be used to identify hair, skin and blood of an individual such as that left at a criminal scene such as at the O.J. Simpson trial or to determine paternity. DNA testing can be done on hair and skin cells you shed everywhere. A potential employer could test a hair you left behind in a interview to see the likelihood of you having a particular genetic disease. |
